Conference Location and Parking
The 50th Annual Meeting of the ArkPSA will be held in the College of Business (COB) building on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas on March 3-4, 2023. Conference attendees may park vehicles in any of the parking lots near the COB building, including lots #404, 601, 602, 604, 605, and 606. ArkPSA has reserved a block of rooms that are available for conference participants to book at the guaranteed rate of $109.00 per night (plus applicable taxes) until February 17, 2023. Conference Registration and Registration Fees
All faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students who are participating in the 50th Annual Meeting of the ArkPSA are required to register for the annual meeting and pay registration fees. Please click here to register for the conference.
The following registration fees cover the costs of the conference, including the Friday evening dinner and the Saturday luncheon. Please click on one of the links below to pay your registration fees online. If you wait to pay registration fees during the annual meeting on March 3-4, 2023, please keep in mind that we will not be able to accept cash. We will only be able to take credit cards (via PayPal) and checks. We will have both options available at the onsite registration table. Please see information below regarding registration fee waivers if you are not able to afford the conference registration fees.
Faculty Registration Fee – $135.00 (includes renewal of ArkPSA membership)
Graduate Student Registration Fee – $55.00
Undergraduate Student Registration Fee – $35.00
Registration Fee Waivers: A limited number of registration fee waivers are available from the Association on a “first come, first serve” basis. Fee waiver requests should be emailed to Dr. Chris Housenick, ArkPSA Treasurer, at chousenick@atu.edu. Please send your request to Dr. Housenick no later than February 17, 2023.

This notification is the call for papers, panels, and roundtables for the 2023 annual meeting of the Arkansas Political Science Association (ArkPSA). The ArkPSA is a professional association for university and secondary school Political Science educators, graduate and undergraduate students, practitioners, and others interested in the scientific study of government and political behavior. The Arkansas Political Science Association also publishes a refereed journal: The Midsouth Political Science Review.
The association invites submissions of proposals of papers, panels, and roundtables from scholars and students of Political Science and related disciplines. All proposals should include the information requested under the “Proposals Submission” sub-heading below. If you are uncertain about the placement of the proposed paper, panel, or roundtable, please contact the Program Chair for clarification on the appropriate section. Individuals willing to serve as Panel Chairs or Discussants should send such requests to the appropriate Section Chair.
Please e-mail proposals to the appropriate section chairs (see below) with the following information by the deadline of Thursday, December 15, 2022:
