Dr. Christopher Housenick — Associate Professor of Political Science at Arkansas State University —  appeared on Arkansas Week with Steve Barnes (August 16, 2019), which aired on the Arkansas Educational Television Network. Among the topics discussed were the recent visits of Democratic presidential candidates Beto O’Rourke and Amy Klobuchar to the state, the ongoing controversy over the casino in Pope County, and the impact of the Trump Administration’s trade war with China on Arkansas farmers.

Dr. Michael Rogers — Associate Professor of Political Science at Arkansas State University — published a review of Arlie Russell Hochshild, Strangers in Their Own Land: Anger and Mourning on the American Right (New York: The New Press, 2016) and Katherine J. J. Cramer, The Politics of Resentment: Rural Consciousness in Wisconsin and the Rise of Scott Walker (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2016) in The Journal of Political Science Education, 15, no. 3, (2019), 413-417. Dr. Rogers also presented “Designing the Political Science Major for Career Tracks” at the “Rethinking the Undergraduate Political Science Major” Workshop/Conference, University of North Texas, Denton, Texas, May 31-June 2, 2019. Dr. Rogers attended this conference thanks to a grant from the American Political Science Association.
